Casa Marchese

Everything was exactly like on the photos, the flat felt new, modern, you could find everything you need in it. The location is great, especially for younger people as there are lots of great bars/pubs around. Martha is an amazing host, quick to respond, had lots of recommendations.

It was very easy to get the property keys, we were met outside the gate by Marta and shown around the property. We also received a number of recommendations for places to visit and where to eat which came in very handy. The flat was very clean, modern and comfortable.

There’s a number of restaurants downstairs from the flat so it can get a little loud at night but didn’t bother us too much.

What we liked the most: Marta is a very caring, responsive and helpful host. Communication was always very easy, friendly and good. The apartment is the best we had on our trip to Sicily. It is pretty spacious and comfortable for two people. It has a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and all the necessary appliances, a washing machine and working heating. The location in the city center is pretty nice (and not so nice, more on that in the section below): for us it was pretty easy to get around the old town on foot. We parked our car for free less than 10 minutes away from the apartment.

The location has two drawbacks. We knew about them in advance, so no complaints from our side. However, they are still drawbacks: 1. Right below the bedroom is a bar or nightclub, and it was very noisy (every day of our one week stay except on Monday) - if you have trouble falling asleep, don't book this apartment. 2. Also, since the apartment is right in the city center, reaching it by car is a little bit difficult. It is situated in a zone where traffic is limited at certain times (you can pay 5$ or so per day to enter the traffic-limited zone, but we didn't use that), the streets are rather narrow and there is not very much parking space nearby.

It was my third time in Palermo and I really enjoyed stayind in this appartment, best place so far. Location was perfect, everything was clean, there was elevator. Can't imagine better host, Martha gives suggestions and helps if something is needed. Thank You!!
