My trip to Brook Cottage in Champavat felt like coming home. As a solo female traveler, I instantly felt loved, comfortable, and safe, thanks to the warm welcome and clever safety stuff. It's truly a peaceful corner. The home-cooked food was amazing – delicious, soul-nourishing, made with farm-grown veggies and often in iron pots. Dining was a daily highlight, wonderfully worry-free. The hosts' unparalleled hospitality truly touched my heart; they were incredibly kind and genuinely cared, making me feel valued and secure. It's no surprise they've even won an appreciation award from the Government of Uttarakhand – their dedication truly shines through! Beyond the warmth, the gorgeous, fresh weather was invigorating. An unexpected bonus was how perfectly suited it was for working online, with strong, reliable internet and cozy, productive spots. Brook Cottage radiates a cozy, inviting vibe, perfect to unwind and reconnect. Every detail contributed to a truly memorable, refreshing, and empowering solo trip. I left feeling utterly refreshed, wishing I could have stayed longer, and with a strong desire to return. If you're a solo woman seeking a tranquil, super safe, and heartwarming getaway in Champavat with real hospitality, amazing homemade food, and the option to comfortably work online, look no further. I truly recommend this Brook Cottage sanctuary!

My only sad part about leaving Brook Cottage was not being able to stay more days. It's a real treasure in Champavat, giving solo women such a unique mix of calm, safety, and warmth.

Nestled between the mountain forest. Few locals living near by. Calm & scenic view. Amazing home cooked local food. Adobe of 3 amazing Dogs, a Cat, a Turtle and few Rabbits.

Main Gate access can be little better for guests. Every time you need to ask for a gate card or call someone to open main gate while coming back. Access card along with room key will be a good solution.

Host was very passionate and nice. Food was very tasty. Staff was courteous and helpful. Location was serene. Rooms were clean and tidy. Host has provided all required amenities to help spend time at property. Overall stay was great.

Brook Cottage is a very beautiful, neat and clean place, and deserves the highest rating possible, The hosts of this homestay made our stay very comfortable. The booked Polum room had a beautiful view of the pinewood forest from the comfort of your king size bed, I was upgraded to a premium room Hisalu having prestine scenic view from its terrace. The dining area is neat and clean and decor gives the ultimate rustic cottage feel with stunning views of the Himalayan mountain ranges from its terrace. Local food served was awesome and the staff Hema, Deepak and Preeti were very courteous and helpful.

No Complaints, will highly recommend for laidback timeout from city life

Owners of property Yogesh, Sulekha & their staff gave us a feeling of Home Stay in reality. Their hospitality was above expectations. Even though the amenities in property are just basic without any luxuries & with simple home cooked food, the feel home factor is very relaxing. Location is very peaceful, quite away from city traffic & facing valley. Word of caution, one should arrive in day time only, as the last few kilometres of road is too small & bit difficult to drive
