Asagama House

The place was very spacious and cosy and the staff was very helpful. Hiyo kindly helped us sort out the rentals and gave us lifts to the nagasaka gondola in the mornings.

Yoko was a wonderful host, the location and space was perfect for our large group and had all the amenities we needed. Close to 3 onsens and short walk to some great restaurants. Very reasonable price for late season spring skiing

Not much to dislike, the only thing that would make it perfect is being closer to the ski lifts but you can't have it all

Our family loved this house. Great location in town, onsen right across the street. A super nice 500 yen onsen 5 minute walk. We were a family of 5 with an elderly 88 grandmother who had the downstairs bedroom and upstairs there were 2 bedrooms. Yuki our host was great! Our sons went snowboarding and Yuki got them set up with the gear and they stored each day up the by lift. They have the best powder skiing ever! Such a great experience. Mahalo to Yuki-san.

A shoji screen or curtain to close off the kitchen to the downstairs bedroom would have been ideal, but not a big deal.

We were met by Yuki and she was extremely helpful and accommodating. She also gave us a full run down on Nozawa and where we can go for meals, ski hire etc etc. The location was amazing. We were over the road from a public onsen, a short stroll (3 minutes) to the centre of the city and a short walk to the travelling walkway to the ski fields. The house was very clean and everything was in very good condition. We had everything we needed for our stay in the kitchen and bathrooms. It is located only a short stroll (`100 meters) from the main bus stop. We highly recommend Asagama house for a large family, 2 small families or a group of friends.

There were no additional thing required to make the stay more comfortable. The house had everything we needed for a great stay and Yuki (the host) was fantastic.

Spacious , well equipped , and very clean. Everything is pretty new and well maintained.

There’s only one shower so if you come as a big group then everyone needs to wait in line. Not a but issue for us.

It was spacious and cosy. Excellent kitchen and washing facilities. Onsen just across the road. Discount with Olive ski rental (excellent as we could leave the gear at the Hikage base each day and not have to lug up and down the mountain with us!) Yuki our property host went above and beyond to help us when our son got injured and could not get to and from the clinic as taxi company was too busy!

The lack of room separation (where 3 double beds are situated) on the ground level from the living area. Even if all that can be done is a curtain or simple sliding door. Lack of hooks for towels in the bathrooms.

Great location, staff exceptional and very helpful. Two bedrooms and seperate toilet upstairs and third bedroom and additional toilet downstairs.

Only one shower, a second would be helpful
