It is important to understand (which I didn't) that the apartment you book is either a double bedroom with a balcony and access through the shared area to a shower room, or a room with a double sofa bed with an ensuite shower room. Both rooms have use of a large lounge dining room, small kitchen and the balcony off the lounge. Everything in the whole apartment is smart, stylish, clever, comfortable, well equipped, clean and spacious. Also Simone kindly provided coffee for the machine and biscuits. Everything is fairly new. The kitchen may be compact but has all you might need. All of the many windows in the apartment are fitted with sliding mosquito blinds between shutters and double glazed windows. I didn't see any mosquitos but liked the neat facility very much! Having the bedroom with direct access to the balcony, I can say that the bed in that room was incredibly comfortable, one of the best I've ever slept in. The apartment is in the heart of the small but vibrant bar and restaurant area on the quite long town of Formia. The weekend in May I was here, this was busy on Friday and Saturday night. It actually doesn't get busy until 10pm and peaks well after midnight!

I was very fortunate that the other room in the apartment was not booked while I was there and so had the place to myself. Had it been otherwise I may well have been uncomfortable in the situation. I did book in a hurry, but did not appreciate the layout. The two rooms together would be perfect for two couples on holiday together or a family. Couples unknown to each other probably not though! The other thing I didn't like was the noise from the bars and restaurants, which were open until 2am on Friday and Saturday. The double glazing helps but doesn't cut the noise out. Also there is a busy road bypassing the town between the restaurants and the sea and this is noisy during the day and early evening.

Firs thing i had to wait for the host to arrive in the freezing cold on top of that the room was freeing cold too. And when i asked about the heating he just bluntly says to start the ac which was barley working or i didn't understand how to start it. But the worst part is that i specifically asked about the parking and where to park as i'm travelling for work and im dependent on my car. He then procced to tell me "park at the square" which i do. (Idouble check with him if it's fine to park there) Next morning i find that my car has been TOWED AWAY and i have to spend €20 for a taxi to the towing station and then another €100 to get my car back. The host didn't even offer me a lift to the car towing station, just really unbothered about the situation and he clearly didn't care about this whole situation. not cool!
