Seventy Eight

Everything was great. Easy to get in to check in. The house was spotless and in a great location near enough to Main Street and opera house to walk but far enough that is was not noisy.

This is a lovely little property, with all you would need for a short visit to Wexford town, parking is available approximately 300 m away from the property. The host was quick to respond to any queries we may have had. This is a cosy and comfortable place to stay, we were two adults staying.

Very clean and well equipped. Easy instructions for using things. Although it was just a stop over during travelling by ferries so we didn’t actually use anything. We phoned owner on how to turn heating on and he was very helpful and easy to reach if you needed anything.

Outside key box was a bit tricky to open, in the dark.

Clean, tidy and beds comfortable. Good location.

Everything was good. Only minor issues would be that the iron needs replacing and the sofa to be a bit more comfortable but like I say, only minor issues.

Location was great - very handy for Rosslare port and parking was around the corner or over the road as per the description. Kitchen was large for the size of the property but not particularly well stocked with utensils for 4 people. There were some odd glasses, 4 large plates, some odd mugs in various places, a frying pan and 1 saucepan (I think!) plus a couple of pots/dishes. Fine for us as we were only staying 1 night but could have done with more if we were staying longer. Communication with the owner was great, particularly as we booked quite last minute and access to the property was easy, as per the instructions received.

There were only 2 comfy chairs to sit on in the lounge and as we were 4 adults, 2 of us had to either sit on the floor with cushions that we found or on the small triangular chairs from the table which were really not easy to sit comfortably on. Instructions are literally written in marker pen all around the property on the walls, units etc which was very bizarre... Whilst I understand the need to communicate how to use things, a typed notice attached to the units etc would be a little less basic than marker pen!! The spare pillows had hair bits all over them and there were splashes of something (mud?) on the lower kitchen units. There was opened milk left in the fridge (not sure if we were supposed to use that...?), a bit of coffee and some odd tea bags but would have been nice to have some sugar and for it not to have looked like leftovers...!

Really great little place, cosy & so well equipped, clean & organised. Would definitely stay here again. Host easily accessible when needed. Good value for money.
