Hotel Terrace

This is a good place to stay in Millinocket. My room was very clean, and it was exactly what I needed for hiking Mt Katahdin the next day. Will most likely be coming to stay again, and this time, I may need to stay the night after the climb, too. Appreciated. J.

Recently renovated--everything was brand new

Manager not on site at check in--had to phone and wait for arrival

Location is handy to intown. Clean room with good furniture. Very accommodating staff. I asked to check in early and it was no big deal.

TV reception was snowy. But I was there to hike in Baxter not watch TV! Wifi was very good.

There was coffee, but no breakfast,

No towel rack in bathroom and room was poorly lit.

Upon our arrival, Karen was exceptional. We had asked for an early check in and she was just finishing up our room when we arrived at 1PM. The room was a little outdated but spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great, as we were there to see the eclipse. There was an open field, about a two minute walk, from the hotel which gave us a perfect place to view it. Pretty view of the snow covered Mt. Katahdin at the top of the street.

The bathroom was on the small side and it didn't have a towel rack to hang towels on. Door to enter the hotel was hard to open, but it did have a sign on it letting you know.

Easy to get to just off of the main road into town. Karen greeted us warmly and explained everything we needed to know about the property as well as escorting us to our room. Stay was enjoyable in clean surroundings with adequate supplies of linens and personal soaps, shampoos, and conditioners. Bed was quite comfortable. I would definitely go back there in the future.

Overall the building could use some updating as the front door was a slight challenge to open. Sad to see that their on-site restaurant has been closed for quite a while and hope that it can be re-opened in the future.
