Location location location The owner was sweet, and helped solve our linen problem. Food was basic, and not a huge choice - theres no restaurant, just her little kitchen out the back. The location is isolated, so you are not nipping down the street to get an alternative meal.

The room. If was super-dark, just no proper lighting at all. No bedside tables ... just stumps of wood. This place is big on stumps of wood.... The room had no windows, so no view - just a 60 x 60 cutout with a fabric cover permanently stapled over it. Oh, yes - THERE WAS NO AIR CONDITIONING. this is a fatal error, in my opinion... you canot offer rooms to international guests that do not have air-conditioning. A fan does not cut it ..... the bed linen was a rough textured local fabric, as were the pillow cases - looked 'colourful' but was so uncomfortable that we asked for a linen change, and slept OK on cotton sheets. That local fabric is not good next the the skin. I'll bet the owners don't use it on THEIR bed. The public area, where guests lounge, was completely open, and no aid-ckn. Chairs were not chairs in a European sense, tgey were ultra low to the ground tree stumps. My observations are based around my own needs and comfort levels - some traveller's may revel in the 'authentic' style and historical experience.... this hotel is more of a guest house- our room had an enquire ( and a good one, too) while the five rooms upstairs shared two 'public' bathrooms. I'm thinking this guest house is well imagined, and we'll executed, but I wanted more conventional accommodation.

The family at Khoi Panorama went out of their way to make our stay with them special. We were traveling over my husband’s birthday, and they gifted him with a surprise birthday cake and flowers. The facilities are absolutely gorgeous, and it felt like 5 star luxury in the middle of the most beautiful landscape. The balcony in the rooms were perfect, there was an amazing mosquito net to keep out bugs, and even a guitar for us to play. The place was quiet and so incredibly peaceful. I can’t express my gratitude enough for making our stay so special. It was by far the most special stay I’ve ever had!!!! Thank you!
