La Coccinella

Everything was perfect! The location was a 10 min walk to the station to take you to Sorrento (about 5 min train ride and €1.5) so it was super convenient and great value for money. The place was super clean when we arrived with everything we needed. Beautiful view on the private balcony with lots of sunshine and the coolest view of the hills from the bedroom area. The bed was comfy, lots of storage space in the bedroom and the kitchen was well equipped with everything to cook meals. Our host was the loveliest and made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend anyone to stay here! We would definitely be back if we were to visit again and would recommend to friends and family.

For 10 Euro per day, we were able to reserve a parking space in a private garage associated with the apartment building. It is about a five minute walk from the apartment and Mimmo, the host, helped us carry our suitcases to the apartment and drove us back to the garage when we checked out. The apartment is only a 10 minute walk to the train station and 25 minute walk to the Marinella Lido. We drove to the Lido on Thursday morning and there was plenty of parking (off season) but we walked back on Sunday and it was jam packed with cars. We were glad we walked. We enjoyed a couple of great waterfront restaurants at the Lido. Traffic on this coast is crazy so we opted to keep our car parked throughout the stay and took the train to Pompeii and Sorrento. Trains run every half hour and are inexpensive -- but you may have to stand. Trips are short so we didn't mind. The apartment is comfortable and the bedroom is spacious. It is on the fifth floor and the lift opens right into the kitchen (we didn't see stairs). There is also a lovely private deck with a table and chairs where we enjoyed an aperitif in the evening. Mimmo provided two large bottles of water, a bottle of Italian beer, coffee and tea as well as basics like sugar and salt. He is a kind man and we enjoyed our stay.

I didn't give the bathroom a perfect score only because the shower is small (Americans of a certain age can compare it to a phone booth) but it gets the job done. We would stay there again.

Both hosts were extremely accomodating, check-in was made easy and flexibly timed. They also were very helpful as we got delayed baggage and helped us greatly with the situation. Myself and my partner are English and the language difference was not a problem at all throughout. The property was clean, cool and well stocked with essential items. It's located in a quiet street with ameneties close by such as local cafes, restaurants, corner shops, bus and train station. Such a great place and we would love to visit next time we decide to travel back here!
