Tropical Tree

Our stay at Tropical Tree was great! The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was really good (we chose to have half board). Moreover the restaurant is located in a very nice place, on the beach and surrounded by palms. While swimming at the seaside in front of Tropical Tree we could see sea turtles, rays and sharks. We did a snorkeling trip, swimming inside the laguna of the atoll, and we really enjoyed it.

The Tropical tree is a great place to stay. It has its own beach. The rooms are very clean. The food is very good. Always well cooked. We had half board and it was a good choice. There are not a lot of other restaurants on the island. The Christmas beach BBQ party was great. We also had grilled fish other days. The stuff is very friendly and always ready to help. We take 2 boat trips and they were very interesting and well organized. We went for turtles trip and fish feeding. We didn’t see turtles but visited other interesting places for snorkeling. We would like to thank the owner Jabu for our stay.

The stay in Tropical Tree Guesthouse definitely made our holidays in Maldives. The treatment & highly professional way of interacting with the guests is phenomenal, and deserves all the praise. The guesthouse staff demonstrated a great level of enthusiasm and hospitality. (Despite of rather small size of the lodge and lack of any luxury). Very well done! The excursions offered by the hotel (we booked 2x fishing tours and snorkeling) were simply amazing (especially the fishing tours). It was different from any other plain vanilla „commercial“ tours we previously met other countries. The tours are being performed with high level of enthusiasm and efforts of the guides. We definitely recommend to visit the wonderful island and especially this hotel to everyone, who is willing to explore the „Real“- Maldives.

- The staff were friendly and made efforts to accommodate our needs. - The rooms were pleasant, clean, and well-scented. - Surprisingly, the wifi worked without any issues. - The hotel beach offered a nice view of the sea, perfect for relaxation. - Upon arrival, the staff met us at the harbor and transported us and our luggage to the hotel, which was convenient.

- The staff's limited English proficiency and apparent lack of enthusiasm for their job were noticeable. - We encountered a cockroach in the room on occasion. - The food, despite the chef's efforts, was generally average or even below average in taste. - Breakfasts were limited and lacking in flavor. - The hotel refused to accept bank transfers for payment, citing a nonexistent lack of an account, which seemed disingenuous. Beyond the hotel review: - Fehendhoo offered limited dining options, with only two restaurants available, both of which were disappointing. - The shops on the island were also quite limited, making it challenging to find a variety of provisions, adding inconvenience to our stay.

very kind and helpful staff, beautiful fragrant and spacious rooms, it is possible to snorkel right at this beach in front of the hotel. Amazing stingray feeding every evening, they will gladly take you to bikini beach

Overall Tropical Tree was peaceful place to stay - though the whole island was more calm than many other local islands in Maldives. We really liked the main building where the breakfast was served and the reception was placed. The location was really convenient for the harbour and the island’s few shops for a little grocery. Reasonable priced with everything you need!

When we checked in we filled the form with the disclaimer of any personal stuff keeped in the room without the safety box would be under guest’s full responsibility if something disappear. They could not provide the safety box at all to the room because the loss of the keys. That was not any big of a deal because the island is 200% safe but that’s the only ”negativity” we had and we carried all the personal items, passports and money etc. with us, which was not the most convinient. It is not negative point but good to know that there are only few shops and very few restaurants, which is good to acknowledge beforehand.
