Residenza della Corticella

A lovely, quirky apartment in a great, quiet location about 10 mins walk from the centre. Giovanni is a friendly, helpful and responsive host. Shame I was only there for 2 nights, would have liked to stay longer.

Not a great start: we were sent the wrong instructions to open the flat (wrong ping code to open a box with the keys), but ok, things happen. We get into the house and try to take a shower: no shampoo. We notify the owner and he says he's going to take of this: he never did, and then asked me to go and buy it myself. The shower head holders can't hold anything, they are old and essentially unusable. One of us tries to use the hair drier: it can't be plugged into any socket. Then comes the first night and we try to turn on the one air conditioner: it doesn't work, and it turns out it's because the controller has no batteries. We notify the owner and (again) he says he's going to take of this: he (again) never did, and then asked me to go and buy batteries myself. We opened some windows because it was too hot: from the bathroom we could enjoy cigarette smoke from another flat, and from the elevated bed near the entrance, a number of neighbours loudly but happily enjoying their toilet break. Slow/no communication with the owner (in Italian, so no language barrier). For what is worth: there's one air conditioner in the house, in the kitchen, it won't get any air to the bed near the entrance (in the opposite direction from the one the air conditioning unit is facing).

Charming rooms.well equipped kitchen and dining area. Lovely bedroom with storage and great to have a washing machine.

Smaller bathroom than others.

Unterkunft war noch schöner als auf Fotos.. Lage ist perfekt mit Park um die Ecke.

Die Lage ist sehr gut für alle Sehenswürdigkeiten von Verona und dennoch ruhig gelegen. Giovanni ist ein sehr netter Vermieter, die Kommunikation mit ihm war immer schnell und freundlich. Die Wohnung ist so gemütlich und schön eingerichtet dass man am liebsten bleiben möchte. Es gibt alles was man braucht, die Kinder haben sich über das Klavier gefreut :-)
