Kona Islander

The property was great. Beautiful gardens, close to restaurants and shops, clean, albeit dated decor. The staff at the property were lovely.

Each unit is individually owned - we stayed in a unit managed by Soleil management who were not easy to deal with. We received an email saying we could contact them to get in earlier and I responded to which there was no answer. They deducted further money out of my account, after I paid for the unit and I have no reason why. I emailed. 3 times via booking.com and received no answer. I really liked the location but wouldn’t recommend at this stage given the difficulty with communication. The staff at the front desk no nothing as units are privately managed.

Property is beautiful.

There was animal urine outside my door. When addressed, I was told there are no janitors on property and to use water to shoot it down.

Location

Check in changed from 2to4. No one to contact. Not a person but a closed company. Nothing to clean floors. Broom found out in street 2 floors down. Floors dirty,no mop. Dishes and flatware very scarce. Never did figure out television. An awful lot of rules with charges of 50 to 100 dollars each for petty things like parking tags misplaced or lost key card. Room very dark. Needs better bulbs!
