Rural Retreat

This place is wonderful. You get your own separate unit and they have everything you need from Tv, towels, microwave, fridge, washer, etc. it was conveniently located, at least for me, between all the attractions I was going to do while in the area which was Hamilton, Rotorua, and waitomo caves. The family is friendly and has two lovely dogs that love to say hello. As the name says, it’s in a rural area so the nearest down is about a 15 minute drive. It was amazing waking up to the sound of birds and not cars for once. Would definitely come back. Thank you again for everything 😊

There is no AC but wasn’t an issue because once you opened the windows, the fresh air from outside cooled the inside.

Absolutely fabulous stay, highly recommended! The bed was super comfy, as to the sofa, the decor was perfect with great kitchen facilities that was fully kitted! And the shower ... perfect! Nice & peaceful in a rural outlook, felt just like home. Lovely owners and pets.

Lovely rooms, great rural location and the hosts were awesome, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Quite small, but totally suited our purpose & we were completely comfortable.

Absolutely outstanding, this has been the best accommodation we have had while working away from home. The hosts have been great to deal with, and the dogs are very well behaved! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, or to recommend to others.

This is the second time we have stayed near Cambridge to break up our trip between the Coromandel and Taranaki. It is lovely to stay in the country and only a 10 minute drive into Cambridge. We had a swim in the pool and relaxed in the loungers on our arrival and it was a great way to cool off and relax after the drive. We were greeted by the very friendly dogs, we adore dogs and they were polite things so no need to worry if you aren't a dog person. Great that the windows all had fly screens so we could leave the windows open and get some air through.

It was better than what we expected so no negatives.
