Exceptionally clean. Huge, modern room. Very comfortable bed, fresh linens. Lots of furniture, a wardrobe, a bench for bags, chairs. Good hot shower. Strong air conditioner. Patio outside the room with table and chairs. Large garden area. Very quiet and peaceful. I was only staying 2 nights as I was going to spend the day at the Ancient City, but it was so comfortable and peaceful that I decided to stay an extra day, plan out more of my motorbike journey, relax in the lovely room and air conditioning, and sit on the patio. The hosts Sandy and Kamal were truly amazing. I had got a little overheated on my motorbike ride to the property and I was brought a cool drink, and then later some tea and cake. They speak fluent Italian and very good English. Dinner was excellent. It was really good curries and rice, they asked what I wanted, gave me choices and cooked it with care. There was too much food for me! Plus, they brought dessert and tea. I had dinner here on the first night. The second night I went into town. On my last night I ate here again as it was so good and was only 1500 LKR, very inexpensive. Naturally the breakfast was excellent and plentiful. It is about 7.5 kms to the Ancient City so you need to get a cheap tuk-tuk or have your own transport. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

We loved the property. Amazing accommodation with amazing gardens! Very clean and excellent facilities. Sandy is a great host and a fantastic cook. We had dinner and breakfast there during our stay and both were excellent. Highly recommend staying and eating the home cooked food.

We've just completed a wonderful, four day stay in our spotless and spacious accommodations at the beautiful Nature Resort. The highlight of our stay was the extraordinarily high standard of hospitality and five star service provided by Sandy, the resort host and owner. Sandy went above and beyond throughout our stay to ensure that every one of our needs were met. She attended to every detail with such care and precision that it felt less like a stay and more like being pampered in a world of luxury—every need, no matter how small, was anticipated and expertly fulfilled.  Furthermore, Sandy is an excellent chef. We were treated to a variety of tasty, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine throughout our stay. Her skills as a chef are world class. She puts her heart into her food and you can taste the joy in her cooking. She catered to our individual tastes and preferences (including Italian coffee and premium tea). All we had to do was ask. This was our first perfect stay in a very long time. We extended our stay twice, for two additional nights, and would have stayed even longer if we had the time. Indeed, Nature Resort was by far the best accommodation that we experienced during our nearly month long journey through Sri Lanka. It is a first class resort being run by first class owners who put their hearts into every aspect of their business. What a great place this is! Just outside of town in a park like setting, very quiet, beautiful dark sky for stars. Rooms are big, modern, very clean and comfortable. Owners are super friendly and always looking to make your stay special. Food (breakfast and dinner) is terrific and plentiful for a very low price. For coffee lovers: Amazing coffee made in a real Italian moka pot! All of this and at a low nightly rate makes the Nature Resort a Must Stay when in Polonnaruwa!
