Hillside Colorado Cottages

Did not expect highway traffic throughout night.

I wish I could give it a better review, but I can't. If we knew what we were renting and the communication was better, I would probably give it a higher mark. The good thing - we had a clean place to sleep with kitchen and a bathroom nothing to add here. Oh, it has wifi! :)

First, folks, be aware when you pick a unit you're renting. They messed up (i don't know if it was intentionally or not) and added all pictures together for each unit, so you will have no idea what you actually getting). Based on the pictures we were expecting to have two beds - one double (two level) and one regular. We got a smaller unit with just a single two level bed. Which wasn't what we expected to get based on the listing, so, please, FIX THAT! Yes, I checked the listing again and it was saying - two beds, but it's not visible and clear enough, when you have all sort of pictures for each unit. Also, there's no dedicated BBQ, it's in the common area, which can be impossible to use if you have other units occupied and they go to bed early. So if you expect to have a nice bbq at night - think twice. Communication was non existing, took me two days to get the code from the unit, no other instructions has been provided, so it took me some time to figure that it wasn't the unit I expected as well as just to locate the unit. It's not a cottage, honestly, more like a cabin with propane stove and water heater. The stay was ok, but again, it wasn't a pleasant ride and the owner should do some homework and be open, honest and communicate well to avoid such reviews as mine. Good luck.

Door was unable to lock when we went out to dinner. Furniture was uncomfortable. Furniture needs updated with more padding.

The cottage decor, getting a hot shower and a comfy bed after camping for a week! Wish I had more time here.

That I could only stay one night, as I was just driving through.

It was clean, comfortable and in a beautiful location.

Everything was clean. The kids liked the blocks and toys. The kitchen was useful and the beds were comfy. We saw mule deer right out the back windows and enjoying the wildflowers and outdoor chairs. The host recommended places to eat in town that we enjoyed. We would stay here again.

Dark sky’s

A lot of insects and spiders. No ice, except two small trays. Misleading information on cottage. Thought it was one unit. The grounds were not pleasant. Just weeds no grass.

Beautiful setting. Peaceful and relaxing. Great place to see the open sky and all of the stars. Cabin was phenomenal. Well apportioned for cooking. Also, there was an outside grill. There was not one thing that was less than perfect.

Nothing. I will definitely stay here again.

This was a fabulous place for our family, nice spaces to play cards, chat and eat.
