Caradoc House

Location ideal for beach access, restaurants and train station. It’s a whole house with 2 bed, 2 bathrooms, large kitchen and front porch. A lot of space for the price and excellent views of the ocean. Access to streaming services on the telly.

Location ideal for traffic noise, joggers looking in your window, trains honking. Let me paint a picture; you walk in the back door after a long day of travel, greeted by the unmistakable aroma of mildew. The bathroom and master bedroom look wet. The kitchen hasn’t been upgraded since the 90s and the spatula and pans are easily as old. This property is about as inspiring as the wall art, which included a quote from dickens and a bad poem about surfing.

Very close to restaurants and excellent view of the ocean. Having the patio enclosed is a bonus if you have windy weather. House is more than big enough and represents good value for money. Secure off the street parking is also great to have.

They neglected to inform me of the broken sliding door and the security gate onto the patio was difficult to close until you learnt the lift and push.

Lovely location

Bit noisy

It was convenient for walks along the beach and to Kalkbay and Fishhoek. The view of the ocean was lovely although you have to watch the constant it through the traffic and trains. Private parking was a definite plus.

It was incredible noisy. Constant traffic. The kitchen had zero baking dishes or serving dishes. Loads of wine glasses but no way to really cook. An air fryer would be a plus. The doors were all difficult to close and the front door is glass and difficult to lock and close. Just overall disappointing. I booked because the previous views were 9 star. Maybe for a week it would be fun but not for any kind of long stay, if you want to cook or are even vaguely noise sensitive.

The view from the front of the property is amazing, it's close to everything you may need, restaurants, checkers and good coffee.

I suspect the windows don't seal properly and leak (air), this isn't very comfortable when you're trying to stop the heat from escaping.

Good space, lots of freedom and different areas, safe.
