The owners, Rosella and Mario, were fantastic. Very communicative and very reactive to some of the problems we experienced. Fantastic location, peaceful and lovely and cool in the house.

Some of the facilities and garden furniture need upgrading/modernising, which we understand is planned.

It's a home, not a holiday house so feels authentic. Lots of space for 6 guests, with airy rooms that stay cool despite the heat outside. Pretty grounds with decent (not massive) pool to take a dip in. Great hosts Rosella and Mario are not intrusive but are there when you need help and go beyond what we would expect. It's about a 6 min drive or 30 min walk into to local town Palazzolo Acreide which remains pretty much tourist free, but has great little shops for fruit, vegetables and bread as well as a good Despar supermarket and a selection of good restaurants off the main square. About 40 mins drive from Noto, Syracuse, and Ragusa. The first two on really good roads, Ragusa less so.

Not much, it is a bit of a twisty lane to get down to the house and the Booking.com instructions on how to get there on the confirmation note were wrong (so do double check or you will end up in the wrong part of town!!)
