Badia Calavena (summer 2025) – a small town of about 2,600 inhabitants, located at the foot of the Lessinia hills, surrounded by beautiful vineyards and landscapes, just a short drive from Verona. Our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable. The host, Massimo, is exceptionally kind and helpful – despite his many duties in the hotel and in the café downstairs, he always found time to respond quickly to any questions. The café itself has a unique charm, with an atmosphere where time seems to have stopped – simple, authentic, and relaxing. Breakfasts were homemade – sandwiches and excellent croissants. Simple, tasty, and prepared with care. The selection does not vary much from day to day, which some guests may find repetitive, but the quality and freshness make up for it. Our room was excellent: recently renovated, modern, spacious enough, and equipped with air conditioning – perfect comfort for a summer stay. Parking was never an issue – we always found a free spot within 10–40 meters of the building. The town itself is worth a short visit: there is a 15th-century abbey where masses are still held, though part of the complex remains in ruins. The surroundings are perfect for day trips: a scenic mountain route leads to Riva del Garda, and Verona is just a short drive away, offering the chance to experience the authentic atmosphere of northern Italy’s smaller towns.

Hotel Palazzo Fritz is a truly wonderful place. We were welcomed by a very kind family who take great care of their guests. Everything was perfectly clean, and the atmosphere of the palace is just magical – you feel at home while staying in a historic setting. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, prepared with love. It was varied, tasty, and the perfect start to the day. The location is excellent: the hotel is in Badia Calavena, within easy reach of Venice, Lake Garda, and Milan. A perfect spot if you want to explore northern Italy while having a peaceful and charming place to stay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for beautiful accommodation with a personal touch, great breakfast, and unforgettable atmosphere.

Les propriétaires de l'hôtel sont très sympathiques et accueillants. L'hôtel et le bar où est servi le petit-déjeuner ont été rénovés avec goût, en conservant le caractère ancien de l'établissement. L'ambiance chaleureuse et authentique du lieu qui est fréquenté uniquement par des locaux. On est plongé dans la "vraie" Italie : très peu de touristes étrangers mais beaucoup de randonneurs venant des environs.

De kamer was ruim met een fijn bed. Mooie badkamer. Iedere dag een lekker croissantje met cappuccino beneden op het terrasje

I loved everything! The room was so beautiful, clean, fresh, with everything you need. In the most beautiful village in the mountains! The breakfast was great, big selection, and delicious coffee!! Was great to start the day before going out walking!! The staff were so lovely and welcoming!! Really really great people! I would stay here again and recommend this accommodation to anyone!

We loved everything about this place. Kiara was sooo lovely and made us feel very welcome and like family while we were there. Amazing filling breakfasts everyday , room was super comfortable and we were recommended by them to our stand out meal from our time in Italy at a local restaurant… Even though it was out of the way from Verona we loved that we got a taste of true Italy !
