Casa Valxisto

I can't speak highly enough of all the staff at Casa Valxisto. They're all brilliant at their jobs, work very hard and are so lovely and friendly. The accommodation is perfect. Good size rooms with air con and lovely bathroom. The breakfast easily compares to a 5 star hotel - it is all wonderfully fresh and plentiful. If you purchase the evening meal, it is fantastic value and again everything is so fresh and delicious. There is a very good wine list too. Dining outside and watching the sunset is a very special experience. The pool is well managed and the views from there are spectacular. The land around the house is stunning and a short walk takes you to see the cute farm animals. I also had a massage with Sonia which was fabulous. There are several massages to choose from and you will be in expert hands with Sonia who is extremely knowledgeable. The room where the massages are carried out is beautiful and relaxing. I absolutely recommend a stay at Cala Valxisto for total relaxation and connecting with nature. About 30-40 minutes from Porto, but a completely different place.

Personeel is heel vriendelijk! Ik las het in de reviews, maar het was echt zo! We hadden de deluxe suite. Wat een heerlijke kamer! Ruim, mooi uitzicht, lekker bed, etc. Het ontbijt was niet in buffetvorm, maar heerlijk aan tafel geserveerd. We hebben er ook gedineerd. Voor weinig geld echt heel goed gegeten. Aanrader!

Surpreendeu pela positiva. O espaço está bem decorado, confortável e muito tranquilo. O quarto óptimo, cama confortável. O pequeno almoço excelente. E o espaço exterior lindo, com piscina bem integrada na paisagem com vinhas, plantação de mirtilos e animais.

A simpatia do staff,desde a Leonor que nos recebeu à Susana.O nosso filho fazia 6 anos e confeccionaram um bolo ,fazendo-lhe uma surpresa ao pequeno-almoço.Recomendamos muito .

Nada a apontar

Gorgeous pool, dining area, and view of the grounds - the first photo is the view from the Videira suite. The bed was comfortable, and the blackout shades actually worked! Most of all, the staff was incredible (particularly Sara, but every colleague was fantastic). They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome on our honeymoon. Also, it was a quick drive to several awesome vinho verde wineries in the region, and the village of Quintandona is beautiful. Finally, the food was quite tasty!

While the hotel serves great food, there’s only one other restaurant that’s within walking distance (another is a long walk/short drive), so it might be tough for travelers without a car. They offer free bicycles for those coordinated enough to ride on historic/narrow Portuguese roads, so maybe it would be fine!

Nada a apontar

A simpatia de todo o staff, sem excepção, desde a Ana e a Leonor que nos receberam, à Susana e à Sara que nos acompanharam nos restantes dias, bem como a cozinheira soberba que têm. O facto de ter uma quinta com animais também é excelente para as crianças.

A temperatura da água da piscina de manhã, mas que vai aquecendo durante o dia 😊
