Hotel Majerca Superior

Superb restaurant, great location, beautiful rooms, friendly staff.

We are a 70+ couple who enjoy exploring and walking in beautiful scenery, and this hotel and situation fitted this perfectly. The hotel has been refurbished in the last 7-10 years so everything was clean and well equipped. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, especially Kristina. The room was a good enough size, with a good shower. The air conditioing very effective. The breakfast options were extensive and all excellent, as well as good helpings; kept us going for most of the days! The view of the mountains from the dining area, inside and out was stunning. The location was great for us; peaceful and out of the main small 'centre' but just 15 minutes walk away. Stara Fuzina, 10 minutes the other way, was an interesting village to walk around. Transport to the area is great with buses from the centre to all main areas of Slovenia, as well as locally, and quite cheap.

The balcony had a good view but not really of the garden as advertised.

Die booking-Reisebeschreibung des gewählten Zimmer wich vom tatsächlichen Stand vor Ort ab. Nach Sichtung der Hoteleigenen Seite wurde jedoch speziell darauf hingewiesen. Blöd, das wir dies erst in Stara fuzina sahen! und ein Zimmerwechsel bei dem ausgebuchten Hotel nicht möglich war. Das der obere Bereich über Treppe zu erreichen ist, dass war uns schon bewusst. Das diese jedoch mit wechselseitig angeschrägten Stufen derartig steil und für kräftige Hotelgäste war, damit haben wird nun gar nicht gerechnet. Obwohl wir die Reise mit Hund angemeldet haben, hat aber weder booking, noch das Hotel explizit seit 10/2025 darauf reagiert und verwiesen. Nach vielen Jahrzehnten war nun getrenntes Schlafen und damit nur eine Teilnutzung des oberen Bereiches verbunden. DANKE booking!

Amazing stay here, wish we could have stayed longer! Views are stunning, room is comfortable and spacious. Lovely bathroom and clean everywhere. Couldn’t recommend eating at the hotel more, we had a special intimate dining experience and it was a highlight of our holiday! The staff were so knowledgeable and really made the experience. THANK YOU!
