Cocos Polhena

Our stay at this property was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were always friendly, kind, and ready to help with anything we needed. What stood out the most was their warm smiles and positive attitude—they always said “yes” and handled everything so professionally. The atmosphere felt just like home, which made our stay even more special and comfortable. I’ll definitely come back to this hotel on my next visit to Sri Lanka😄

Close proximity to the beach.

We stayed one night at this hotel. We booked a family room.Room number 110. The room we were given had a horrible smell probably coming from the shower/toilet. The air conditioning did not cool our room enough and tv had no channels as we were told we would have. We spoke to reception and they sent someone to look at the room. The guy came in and said to us that he could not smell anything and that tv was working which was not. He also rang the manager while he was in our room and told him tv was working okay in Sinhala not realising that my husband spoke Sinhalese. I tried to contact manager on my phone while the guy was there but my call was not answered. My husband then asked the guy who came to sort things out to call him on his phone and my husband spoke to the manager who agreed to move us to a better room which was nice and did not have the same smell. In the morning when we checked out the receptionist and another man working there demanded we pay 8000SL extra for the room they moved us to which we were not told we would have to pay when they moved us. Hotel management and staff are extremely unprofessional and I would never stay in this hotel again

Had such a relaxing stay at Cocos Polhena. The view, the vibe, everything was just perfect.The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made everything even better. Plus, having free parking was really convenient.

I enjoyed my stay at Cocos Polhena... I reserved the room without breakfast at first, but I decided to try their Sri Lankan breakfast and it was so good. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and always helpful throughout my stay. The room was very clean and well maintained and the bed was comfortable. The location was perfect just a short walk to the beach and had a pleasant stay overall. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sri Lanka<3

I noticed some comments mentioning noise from a nearby bus station. However, during my stay, I didn't see any buses, and there was no noise at all. The surroundings were quiet and did not affect my experience in any way.

We Got the family room, very big and nice. Very nice 2 wc/bath If waves from the reef is calm there is 3-4 turtles swimming in the bay (polhena beach) go out around 630-930 to swim with them ;)

Bed was very hard, breakfast was not great, toast was pre-made so it was cold and dry. Also!! We were concerned about other review regarding noice from nearby bus station, we asked the staff through a mail and they said “no bus station here” no noice. Just next to the hotel 25 meters some times 1 to 3 party bus is in the area and they play extreme loud music from like 5 pm to 1 am not all days but maybe 5 out of 7 days so if you like it quiet don’t book this hotel
