Brookside Country Escape 40 minutes to CHC Airport

Just loved this quirky little place from the minute we arrived. Lovely touches. And the cows … just fabulous for cooking a simple meal and sitting watching them. So relaxing

The place was very spacious and had all the amenities that made our stay there feel special. Wish we could have stayed longer, and if we had the opportunity we would definitely stay there again.

There was nothing not to like.

1）The hostess was very friendly. For breakfast, she prepared fresh eggs from the farm, as well as milk, snacks, etc. 2）The room is equipped with a comprehensive range of brand - new facilities. Amenities such as a washing machine are all readily available. The room is immaculately tidied, and the bed offers a comfortable sleeping experience. 3）The farm has only one guest suite with a separate entrance and exit. There is no disturbance at all, and it is very quiet at night. 4）The hostess also invited us to visit the farm, have close contact with the horses, pick fruits, etc. My son was very happy and misses this experience very much.

I stayed at Brookside to break up a long drive from Nelson to Dunedin. The location was convenient and the property was clean and easy to locate. I met the owner and she suggested a great place to eat in Leeston (the Suburban Eatery). I slept very soundly and continued on my travels. A nice alternative to the noise and traffic of Christchurch.
