Well, it's been my worst booking so far. I've only put a few 8/10, and lots of 9 and 10/10 reviews. I've traveled to almost 30 countries, using booking and other platforms. I should put 1 this time, but I don't like doing it, so it's a 2. I let you people be the judge: I sent a message many hours before, seeing that we would have traffic with Waze. So we left work the fastest, around 6pm. Usually people let the keys somewhere and tell us how to get them. It was raining, dark, and we didn't have any other option, but confident that they would help. We talked for a long time, explaining that we would arrive with a 45min delay at the end. We were so sorry, even if it wasn't our doing. We've slept in many Italian homes, never had a problem. We proposed 3 solutions: waiting for us, hiding the keys, and getting us a refund. The answers were like from a robot: "sorry it's too late" "we can't do anything sorry". Did I say that my girlfriend was scared about the situation? And exhausted after her full day's work as a professor? End of the experience: they canceled it with the no-show. I guess we won't have our refund. It's okay, I just hope they will learn from that, as we. More than work, or business, respect between humans and empathy are vital. No hard feelings, wishing you the best! Fortunately, we found a beautiful soul answering us after 10pm, in a other village, to sleep in at night.

We arrived at the address shown on booking.com via roma 123 but nobody was there so I called the number shown on my reservation and the pizzaiolo asked me to come to their restaurant via Dante Alghieri 1kilometer away but I have waited 30 minutes before deciding to do so. When I reached the latter address, the same pizzaiolo called the owner called Martha who told me to wait there, having a coffee on her ... that she have been delayed on the road from Milan ?! First, why on earth they ask people to come to the first address then redirect us to their pizza place ??? And why she doesn't give her own phone number for guests to be able to join her as the pizzaiolo doesn't speak English, French or German ? And why she retain the keys when I gave my credit card details through booking.com site ??? Then after 50 minutes wait, I decided to call booking.com customer service who told me that they will try to reach her right away and she replied that I would have to wait a bit more and that I can have a pizza or a meal free for my ordeal ! Great, but we didn't want to dine in such a low life place though free of charge. When she finally came after over an hour, we've ordered food and I mentioned that the meal should be on her which she declined and accepted after I said booking.com specified that it would be free. She then asked me to leave a very good review on booking.com after my stay ?! As for payment, her credit card terminal declined twice the transaction and it was obvious that she did something to avoid electronic payment through her pizzeria business account as I paid petrol with my card shortly after without any problem ... she just wanted to avoid to pay taxes for the night ! After having collected the keys from her, we went back to the place : there are actually four rooms, 2 large with bathroom inside, two small with shower outside.

Great place, lovely host, very kind and positive. The name is Marta, even at late check in she welcome us and make us feel at home, very kind host. The room was EXTRAORDINARY CLEAN and very specious. We stayed at the last floor in the room with double bed, and everything that you needed was in the room, except an Iron which was not an issue at all, but Marta provide us with an solution instantly. Highly recommend this place
