The hostess was very welcoming and the location was perfect. Our car and trailer was secure. Old house with character and lots of history. The house does need some work as it is old

The shower was difficult to work out - maybe tell guests that you have to have pressure to make it work properly

I have travelled the Eastern Cape extensively, staying at numerous guest houses, hotels, and B&Bs during my work trips. However, my experience at Lindela House has truly left a lasting impression. Considering the price we paid, I must admit I had modest expectations, but Lindela House surpassed them by a wide margin. The building exudes an enchanting old-world charm, steeped in a captivating history. The rooms themselves are a testament to refined taste and attention to detail. The decor strikes a delightful balance between contemporary elegance and the nostalgic allure of the building's colonial past with immaculate bedrooms and thoughtful touches scattered throughout the room - not to mention that my bed was very comfortable! Our host, Marieta, greeted us with genuine warmth, ensuring we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. She provided a comprehensive overview of the available amenities and remained easily accessible throughout our stay. Her dedication to hospitality truly shone through. Lindela House is a gem of a destination, a beautiful haven tucked away in Kokstad. It has undoubtedly earned a place as a regular stopover during my work trips. A big thank you to Marieta and the team at Lindela House for making me feel so at home!

A bin in the self-catering room would be a bonus :)

We were in awe of the characterful house. Marieta prepared a lovely breakfast and was ready and waiting to serve us at the arranged time. Very homely.

There was nothing to dislike, but a shelf in the shower would come in handy.
