This did not apply.

We were not advised that construction was underway when we booked. The noise and inconvenience from the construction was intrusive and negatively affected our sleeping and ability to communicate with our invited guests. When we attempted to discuss this issue with our assigned contact we were given a run around then offered a $200 refund. A refund was not what we were requiring. Rather, we should have been advised when booking so we could have chosen not to make the reservation. Basically, this experience leads us not to trust Booking.com on future travels.
