Villa Filippa

Nothing! We arrived at the address published on Booking.com to be informed by the host that we were in the wrong place. She sent instructions - in Italian - to drive to another place and she would meet us. When we did eventually find her we had to follow her several km out of town and down a rutted, unnamed road to a totally unacceptable property. I asked why it was not at the address listed and was informed "it was an error".

The house was dirty, untidy and without internet access. Hasty instructions were provided poorly as she spoke little English and there was nothing in writing. I was taken down the slope behind the house to be instructed on the water pump. This in itself would not be a problem except we had to climb over recently chopped down trees. This along with the litter of branches and leaves was potentially hazardous. The final straw was the rotting fruit outside the entrance. Needless to say, we left. We had already paid, we then had to pay for alternative accommodation. The listing is not up to the standards we expect on this site.
