Haus Serenity

The room we had was a very fair size and had a private bathroom which was convenient since my partner takes showers convulsively lol. The kitchen, although small had essentials we needed avaliable to us. Including a pan, spoons, forks, spatulas, and cups. The room (we had room A) had a rather large closet with about 4 hangers provided. So my suggestion is if you want to pack your stuff away here and not live out your suit case. Bring hangers. It's a very quiet neighborhood. Which is a positive and negative. As getting around is a bit harder for tourists but I lived in the neighborhood before so it was no problem getting to and from the city. (Using the LIRR. Use city tickets.) The bus to Jamaica is right around the corner so, very convenient. The occupants in the other rooms were very kind, there are 3 rooms. And a pretty large common area.

There was only one towel provided for us despite me booking for 2 people, luckily my partner brought their own towel so it wasn't a big deal. Like I said before, it's a bit out of the way, so if you came for the city, just be mindful of the LIRR and Bus Schedule if you're not driving.

Our booking did not include breakfast. We drove and it was easy to find a parking lot nearby. The neighborhood seems safe. It was quite easy to check in - the owner sent us the key combination number to get into the house and the room. The kitchen comes fully equipped though we didn't use it. There was a coffee maker and capsules as well as a fridge full of bottled water.

Not the fault of the facility but quite a circuitous route to the facility.

The room was as advertised, with thoughtful add ins like some snacks, extra towels and linen in the room. The self check in was very convenient and simple to follow. There is a refrigerator with milk, juice and water. The shared kitchen has utensils, cutlery and a microwave. There is also a shared dining and living area. The wifi is complimentary and the speed is good. Property is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood with easy accessibility to the bus routes.

This is not a negative comment on the property or the host but on the convenience stores at the location. Its a good neighborhood, but since its a residential area, the nearest food store, restaurant or market is some distance away.

There was no preplan from them, they made me to wait for 1 hour delay check in.

Great location for people who are off to JFK airport. The neighborhood is calm and you feel safe inaide. Just amazing 🤩

The air conditioner makes some noise but it works great. I used it to cool the room and turned off after awhile.

The bed set is comfortable.

Shared bathroom which i don’t think it is good for shower. And not very close to airport actually - at least 30 mins underground
