Der Ausblick, der Garten, die Zimmer, das Baumhaus (!!!)

Zu wenig Handtücher, schlechte Beleuchtung zum Kochen, Essen und gemütlich Beisammensitzen. Wir fühlten uns zudem etwas überrumpelt bei unserer Ankunft, weil es hieß, es sei keiner da und plötzlich liefen mehrere Leute im bzw am Haus rum. Wir wären lieber erstmal in Ruhe angekommen. Teilweise wirkte das Haus etwas heruntergekommen (kaputte Klospülung, Vorratskammer…). An sich hat das Haus sehr viel Potential, aber die Einrichtung und Ausstattung hat uns leider nicht so zugesagt, wie wir es vermutet hatten.

Will definitely go back!

Beautiful house in stunning location. Staff wonderful.

We had a lovely stay at Tchagra. Brought my Inlaws from Ireland. They enjoyed the setting, the pool, views and their lovely main bedroom with beautiful ensuit bathroom and outdoor shower.

We arrived back one night in the dark to find a towering giraffe blocking the driveway! Kuleni Park is a magical place filled with zebra and all sorts of antelope and duiker. No monkeys unfortunately. Tchagra house is expansive and comfortable with high ceilings and a long, spacious terrace. Both large bedrooms have equally roomy ensuites. A guest toilet is also available. Kuleni is a quick 15 or 20 minutes from the Big 5 within Hluhluwe's gates. No need to self cater either as a great local restaurant, Delissh, is open from morning to early evening just outside Kuleni Park's gates. We didn't use the pool but it's positioned maybe 25 metres away in front of a small chalet that is tucked away to the left of the main house and also available from the owners as a third bedroom. Security on the gate are very pleasant and Nancy the housekeeper was lovely. A perfect getaway!

We were greeted by the most pleasant housekeeper upon arrival. When we entered the home, it felt like we stepped into paradise. It is absolutely stunning, with attention to detail for the big things and little things that usually go unnoticed. It made our stay so comfortable, we were truly living in luxury for the weekend. The owner of the property also messaged us to check in and arrange activities for us if required. Waking up to animals walking around the backyard in the morning felt surreal. It was the most beautiful experience and we would love to visit again!
