Perfect location on the river Beautifully decorated and comfy, and we appreciated the wood provided in the cold weather. Loved that we could take our pooch

It's not about not liking. It is more about some quick fix improvement suggestions and it not being suitable for all dogs. Although we knew the waterside of the property was not fenced in, we thought the front, walled in garden would be adequate, but it was tiny and no fencing for the large garden meant that we couldn't really make good use of it as we could not leave our pooch unattended. It was sad as he loved running around such a big space. We're big braai people, and although there was a skottle braai, the cutlery provided was not adequate. No sharp knives other than vegetable paring and carving knives. It would have been nice to have steak knives to eat with. I know most weekenders probably eat out, but we're not huge on eating out at the best of times. We couldn't find any brooms, mops, etc, and only found 1 dirt bag. Although communication with the host was excellent, I feel that those sorts of things in the kitchen should be available and easy to find without having to keep asking where things are. Just a suggestion. 😊

Fantastic tranquil location right along the river and at the starting end of Stanford town. Lots of bird life and a lovely pathway along the riverside which is great for families, dog walkers and general strolls. Great host!!

For the price it would have been better to have one to two more rooms/or the equivalent heads

The property was perfectly located with a wonderful view of the river and the mountains beyond. The river was right there at the bottom of the garden. Our charming host met us with the keys, gave us a tour of the property and gave us recommendations for dinner. Our little dog was very welcome. The property was very spacious, comfortable, well appointed and waking distance to town.

We would have slept better in a king sized bed.

Great location on river walk and short walk to restaurants in Stanford, beautifully decorated and very well equipped kitchen. Host very helpful.

Location, locatio, location! Wide open spaces and the sound of birds early morning. The place is extra well equipped, pack some extra Nespresso pods and simply lounge on the stoep inbetween walks and river dips.
