Tuyu Homestay

The location was very good and quiet. WiFi was definitely good. Bed was comfortable and A/C worked.

We were given no check-in instructions, and the place was really hard to find. 4G didn't work, and the phone number listed didn't pick up when I called or texted. A friendly local did some asking around for us and eventually found the place. Then 4G was restored and the owner replied, however we were locked out because the housekeeper locked the door. This was resolved quickly. HOWEVER, the shower barely worked, there was a little stream coming out with no pressure and no warm water. We weren't expecting much being on an island and all, but not being able to shower was a bit of an issue. The toilet seat was broken too, and we had pretty big cockroaches running around the bathroom and even in the room on our stuff, which obviously upset my girlfriend. I then contacted the owner with the issues, was told someone would come to have a look and try to fix it, but no one ever showed up, and I got ZERO communication since. We just left the place and found a way nicer more comfortable room for 100 pesos less.

Unfortunately, breakfast is not served. The location is okay, it's in the middle and accessible to everything.

We loved staying here, the location is amazing, walking distance to everything, the place was very quiet, wifey was perfect, the shower is hot, you have all you need, including a big fridge, and the place was super super clean. The hosts were incredibly accommodating too, we will come back!

There was nothing, everything was great!

We loved our stay with Doreene and Stephen. The accommodation was close to all the restaurants, shops etc. The location is perfect. The accommodation is slightly off the road so it is quiet. The apartment was super clean and smelled divine. There is also a kitchen. The big plus: the hosts Stephen and Doreene are perfect. They are very attentive, very available and very easy to reach. They are so nice that we spent our days and evenings together. They showed us around the island on a scooter. We highly recommend this accommodation. You can go there with your eyes closed.

Everything was exceptionally amazing. It comes with complete amenities. I had a very comfortable stay at Doreen's place. If you want to live like a local, and roam around general luna and nearby restaurants and bars, I would highly recommend this place. Affordable yet exceptional!
