Séjour Étoilé

The host was really lovely we had a lot of problems whilst there and she was very quick to respond and deal with them but the problems we had could have quite easily been avoided.

When we arrived at the properly I had no internet so was unable to retrieve my booking. The gentleman on the gate did not speak one word of English and did not have my details to hand so me giving my name was not good enough to let me in. I had to connect to my taxi drivers WiFi and I showed him my booking along with WhatsApp messages from the host and he still would not let me in. I then had to call the host on WhatsApp for her to tell him to let us in. Quite distressing late at night with a 1 year and and 14 year old. Imagine if the taxi driver had already drove off and I had no way of getting WiFi to call her. Once we entered the apartment it looked clean and tidy but we quickly noticed a disgusting smell from the bottom cupboard under the sink it really does need a good clean. Inside the cupboards are lots of spices all rock solid and unusable my advice would be to just clean and remove anything that can’t be used. We had 2 tvs and both remotes didn’t have batteries and there was 2 air conditioning remotes that had batteries that didn’t work so we was unable to do anything with it being late at night and it was really warm. In the kitchen there’s plenty of equipment but not 1 bin or any bin bags we was told the following day we needed to go down in the lift to the basement to take rubbish to the bin. If we are expected to do this it would be nice to have some bin bags in the kitchen to use. Under the sink was filled with empty cleaning bottles and washing up liquid bottles again if you don’t want to provide cleaning products then just remove the empty ones it was quite frustrating if I’m honest. The balcony was filed with 2 empty buckets but no mop, loads more empty bottles of cleaning products and a big rack of about 15 towels which we was told we could use but it doesn’t really feel like they are clean and god knows how long they have been there. My advice would to be just give the place a good deep clean, clean inside all the cupboards and declutter.
