Pidurangala View Treehouse

Dominda and his family were so warm and welcoming! They cooked some delicious (and huge!) meals for me during my stay. It’s very close to Pidurangala and Sigiriya if you’re looking to hike either or both. They also arranged a bike so I could cycle into town for a cooking class!

The Treehouse is really new and it is just one on the whole place. You can get local food and really kind service in the Treehouse or at the family’s place. We cooked together with the nice family and the owner drives with his tuktuk to every place you want. He also recommend special places and explains the culture of Sri Lanka. Trips we did from here: - sunrise hike to Pidurangala and lake with view on Pidurangala and Sigiriya Rock - Sigiriya Lion Rock - Polonnaruva - Safari in Minneriya National Park (spontaneous organized from owner) - Anuradhapura District - Ayurveda Spa - Herbal Garden

We booked the Treehouse for one night, but loved the place, thus extended the stay for one night more. The Treehouse is new and clean with double bed and big terace in 2nd floor, open dining area and WC in 1st. We liked the feeling to live in the jungles, admire wonderful view of Pidurangala rock. The family runs only one tree house, so you can fell absolutely privacy. The owner Dominda and his family were very hostile and helpful. We come to the place late, so they offered to prepare us dinner, that was very delicious. Breakfast was also really good, with a lot of Sri Lankan dishes. Dominda helped us to plan our trips around. He also showed us a view of point at the lake with astonishing panorama of Pidurangala and Lion rock. Thanks a lot for a wonderful stay and unforgettable impressions :)

This place is amazing. The tree house is very cozy and has a really special atmosphere to it. Also the view from the „balcony“ to Pindurangala rock is a true highlight. Duminda and his family were very caring and friendly. They even cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan dinner. I absolutely recommend this place!

Everything was perfect. Duminda and his family are so great. A really nice tree house in the middle of a nice garden. I definitely recommend that new house! Thank you so much!
