Cockroach on table, no hot water( so no shower) , nothing was comfortable , plastic covered table. A little effort could make it better

Tv didn’t have any casting ability - this was listed on amenities - when asked they said it was stolen, sorry but that’s not my problem, we are still paying for what it says is listed. There was hardly any thing- a tiny jug of milk for three days. 2 towels for 3 days with no drying ability. It was freezing. (Thank goodness for the heater). There were ants all over the bench so I put the sugar in the fridge. Ring rubbish bag for three days, has to go buy our own. The owners didn’t engage at all, they answered my message about the TV and said they would drop something off to plug into the tv, but didn’t and when I asked for a refund for the last night as we were not happy with the place - no reply and still no reply. There’s no instructions or anything about anything in the place or any local info, keys just left in the door on arrival. After reading reviews I thought it was going to be really lovely and cute and friendly, but it was the opposite- I would not stay there again for what we paid $125 per night.

Hot water in the shower lasted about 3min (just enough to get wet and soapy) Then went stone cold

Loved the beds and had a couch. The outside porch was great to sit and read a book until dark. I had a good meal cooked inside and the space was roomy in the cabin. Lots of utensils and consumables. Great shower and bathroom.. The Hosts were very freindly and welcoming. Will definitely be booking again in the future when returning to the area.

Stove was a bit slow cooking but that's ok. A bit of light comes through the door at night. A little bit of road noise in the early morning also...

The accommodation was adequate if on the minimum level. Could do with more blankets and hot water bottle or electric blanket in the coldest week of the year. A reading lamp would also help.

The defining feature of the two nights stay was the kids doing their drumming practice at 3am and 3.30 am respectively. I complained after the first night and was told it wouldn’t happen again but it did. It was somewhat less loud on the second night but the distinctive boom boom boom nonetheless woke me up. So two sleepless nights when I had to work the next day was far from ideal. Kids playing drums in the middle of the night is not compatible with having accommodation in the property.

Very helpful hosts. Real kiwi batch feel. Great location for my work. Good shower, comfy bed, well equipped kitchenette. 5 minutes by car to beach or town.

Some traffic noise being close to SH2 but nothing ear plugs won't fix.

It was very peaceful, the bed was very comfortable, very warm cabin, great owners of the cabin, I would definitely book it out again for a weekend.

I enjoyed my stay...very homely...being able to cook your meals actually was a bonus because most places you can't... only microwave at the others...bed was really comfortable loved the bathroom...for a cabin stay it was really nice.

Oh not being able to watch tv was my only downer .
