The place was luxurious. The hosts were so sweet and accommodating. The views around were gorgeous 😍.

The only problem was poor network and that there are no close by resturants. There is a loong gravel road leading to the guest house. It's terrible

The house is serviced daily and everything is done quietly and efficiently. The people are genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful without ever being intrusive. You immediately feel looked after, which makes it very easy to relax. The views from the house and across the farm are absolutely magical. Whether you are inside or outside, you constantly feel connected to the landscape. The kitchen deserves a special mention. It is fully equipped with absolutely everything you could dream of and more. Cooking there is a pleasure, not a compromise.

We spent the weekend at The Farmhouse in Mooiriver, KZN, and it completely exceeded our expectations. I booked it for my birthday getaway with my husband, parents, and our two dogs — and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful, peaceful escapes we’ve ever had. The home is modern yet warm, with high-end finishes and thoughtful touches throughout. There are three spacious bedrooms, all with their own en-suite bathrooms, underfloor heating, and heated towel racks — absolute luxury in the chilly Midlands weather! The kitchen is a dream — open-plan and stocked with every appliance you can imagine, including a great coffee machine and a wide range of spices. It opens up into a large dining area, a comfortable lounge, and a stylish pub area made from light wood and top-quality furniture — perfect for entertaining or just relaxing with snacks and drinks. Outside, there’s a huge patio where we enjoyed morning coffee, evening chats by the fireplace, and gorgeous farm views. The entire property is fenced, which made it super safe for our dogs, and being pet-friendly was a big bonus for us. At night, we were treated to a sky full of stars — it felt like a complete reset from the busyness of everyday life. The location is peaceful and secluded, so it’s ideal for anyone looking to truly unplug. A few helpful tips for future guests: There is a stretch of gravel road leading to the property, so try to arrive before dark. Bring your own groceries, but the house is well-stocked with essentials. Please treat the space with care — it’s clear the owners have poured love and investment into making it a beautiful sanctuary. We’ll definitely be returning. It’s a place that stays with you long after you leave.
