USOur stay at Siquijor Wejman Mountain Sanctuary was amazing! Our hosts picked us up when we arrived and even took us back to the port at 5am for the early ferry. They were responsive and helpful, including promptly getting me a new moped when I accidentally drained the battery from leaving the lights on. The facilities were clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
ITWe appreciated the host's flexibility with check-in and check-out times. The house is spacious and well-furnished, and the view is truly stunning.
Cleanliness was a major issue at this property. Being situated right in the jungle, this house requires a lot more care than it is currently receiving. We encountered an actual infestation of ants both inside and outside the facility. They were coming out of the water dispenser and were even found in the fridge. Additionally, we discovered spiders as large as my fist in the shower, along with several worms and geckos. By the end of our stay, we couldn’t even enjoy the beautiful view outside because we were constantly worried about creatures crawling on us. Furthermore, we experienced a water shortage for two days and daily power outages throughout our stay. On the last day, the toilet had a problem and we came "home" to one of the bedrooms flooded. While this is not the host's fault—he provided us with a generator—it added to our stress. We strongly recommend that the host take better care of this house, which is indeed beautiful but is becoming overtaken by the jungle. We understand that being in the tropics means dealing with bugs is unavoidable, but the current level of infestation poses a health risk to both guests and the property itself.
