Punakaiki Beachfront Motels

Location was perfect; 2 steps from the path running along the beach. Near hiking trails. A short walk from the Tourist Information Center and Punakaiki Pancake Rocks attractions. Kitchen well equipped.

We stayed in the Cottage which is old and dated. Musty smell (open windows helped but not all have screens) and needs paint refresh inside (baseboards, etc). There was a sitting area outside but a full ashtray on the table. The chairs/table really worn. Not clear where to get the keys. There is a big sign directing you to the nearby bar but this sign didn't mention the Cottage/ motel name I had on my reservation. Future guests note to take second left ( going north), the bar is at the corner.

Stayed here before. Great location right On the coast just north of the rocks. Easy walk to the hotel for great meals. Well appointed motel with a great space for my MIL. Loved siting up on the seawall watching the big Tasman Sea swells. Recommended

Great location for visiting the Pancake Rocks. The cabin was spacious and well appointed, had everything you need for self catering.

There was little on the parking area, need to add a some light The couch was terrible, needs to be replaced.
