A short walk to the beach which is so convenient. Nice sea views from the balcony and guest room.

When we arrived the bedding in the main room smelled damp and awful. I think the bed was made while the bedding was still damp. The smell stank out the whole room. Some of our drinking glasses were dirty. The WiFi is a disaster and only works in some areas of the house, and then it disconnects and reconnects randomly. When I contacted the host (whom I assume is the agent) her attitude was that she would bring new bedding on Monday (we arrived on the Saturday), which I deemed unacceptable, so then she brought it on the Sunday, but only because I insisted. In general, the cleanliness of the place wasn’t up to scratch. The dish drying cloths also smelled strange. The kitchen is badly stocked - it has one tiny whisk, no sharp knives, no dustpan and brush ( which I had to request), no basics like coffee or tea on arrival, no cleaning products aside from dishwashing liquid. The kitchen tap was loose and they came to ‘fix’ it, but it just came loose again. The chain on the braai was broken. Both bedside lamps in the main room couldn’t be used - one had a broken plug and the other plug had been cut off. When I asked for some kind of refund, I was told no refund would be given. At R11000 for a week, I feel we did not get our money’s worth. I also felt the agent’s attitude was not helpful, despite her multiple messages saying that she’s ’committed to service’ - honestly this just felt like something she said because she knew it was expected, not because she was actually willing to solve any of the problems in a timely manner.It’s obvious the place isn’t checked by anyone and that the cleaning staff are the only ones who ‘check’ the place before guests arrive. Not worth the price tag at all and not managed by someone who understands being in the hospitality industry.
