Boston Monadnock Properties

This was an easy overnight between flights out of BOS Logan. The host was kind, communicative, and made us feel like friends staying over. Could be perfect for a short-term rental when we return.

It was a self catering. It was convention to public transport

The location of the property was not what we expected. The description given on Booking. com was incorrect as the property photo was not current and the building needed attention. The neighborhood was undesirable and we did not feel safe after dark. All other rooms we saw were acceptable size, but ours was a shoe box. The air condition was so loud and vibrated the room you cold not use. The room was stuffy. The Bed was being held up with timber struts as the metal leg had broken and every time you moved the bed creaked. There was no reception on free to air TV it was not even connected to an aerial.

Great host! Very helpful and baked cake for guests :) The house was beautiful and very clean and felt safe, all doors have locks. There are multiple shared bathrooms and they were all clean and had shower gel and shampoo etc. She gave us towels with toothbrushes, toothpaste and face masks. HIGHLY recommend staying here! I regret not staying here longer. Also the coffee was great. I was with my partner, but I'd feel safe even alone as a woman.

The house has 3 floors so there are many stairs that are a bit small. It wasn't an issue for me, but could be something to keep in mind. There are bathrooms on each floor though, so maybe you can call and ask to be given a room at a lower level. The area didn't feel the safest. We walked and took busses with and without luggage and overall felt unsafe. There are bus stops and even a train station nearby so it is easy to reach but if you come in the evening or night I'd recommend taking an Uber, which is pretty cheap. Took an Uber from the house to South Station and it was less than 20 dollars.

Clean and neat inside, not so much outside. Clean up your sidewalks of broken glass and trash.

Very trashy outside and yard needs upkeep to make a good 1st impression. Inside was great. We didn't feel safe in the neighborhood.

Nothing. We felt uneasy -- but especially because the room was very scant and most of the elements we expected in our private room was shared space. Probably our bad for not doing our homework properly.

We were surprised that the litchen, toilet and showers were shared. We did not understand that when we booked. It was highly uncomforatbale for us.
