Thaweesuk Heritage Homestay

A historic and internally spacious and attractive property conveniently located for exploring the life of this ordinary, un-touristy town, which has a few simple attractions - and one extremely weird one - if you wish to walk around, and some basic but decent eateries run by friendly, honest people. The room was reasonable for the money.

The hotel's management style is totally hands off, but their communication is not up to scratch. So, self check-in was a pain for lack of proper information; booking a tour to Phangnga Bay proved so frustrating and problematic that we didn't bother in the end; tea, coffee and water ran out with only the latter replaced; maintenance is flakey - broken bathroom fixings etc; other than a bit of cleaning, staff only turn up to collect money owing. There is a potentially pleasant terrace, but it's unkempt and unfurnished. This beautiful house is full of graphic reminders of when this was clearly an efficient, welcoming place to stay, and it's still a very pleasant space but, as a hotel, it has something of an abandoned feel. It's really a self-service guest house. On top of this, although Phangnga (which I personally liked for its very ordinariness) is close to the bay of the same name, it is not a good place to arrange a tour of the Phangnga Bay, there being only one agency in town, where virtually zero English is spoken.

An old, well-kept building in the centre of an uncrowded town halfway between Phuket and Krabi. A kind, friendly owner who really cares about his business. Here you can discover an authentic piece of Thailand. The rooms are simple but the common areas make all the difference. The tour of the bay booked at the local agency was very complete and not very touristy. We recommend at least a couple of nights to enjoy the surroundings and the majestic nature.

The lady who runs this place deserves all the credit its such a nice space with beautiful artwork all over the interior decor feels like you’ve stepped back in time - the lady makes the place id book again just for her hospitality and friendliness

Nothing everything was good not a luxury stay but thats evident in the price but what you pay for its definitely worth the money
