It was better than we expected. It was close to the athletic stadium, that helped us a lot during the 3 days at SA's. Very helpful and friendly host.

Not enough plugs but she helped us with leads.

It’s spacious, has great facilities

The service was extremely poor. My first visit, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, however the second visit, things escalated. First visit, the main bedroom had no access to hot water in the shower, only the bathtub and the other room had hot water. There was a torn towel which they claim was burnt when they ironed it, yet they still saw it fit for guests. During our first visit the rooms were not cleaned after our first night and only when we complained, were we told that they only clean per request which I found puzzling. I book almost every month at different hotels and guest houses, I’ve never heard of a place being cleaned only upon request. After requesting that the rooms be cleaned, still we were told to leave the kitchen the way we found it. The gate is left unlocked (sometimes even left wide open) at night and there is no one to man the gate (i.e. no guards). There is nowhere to plug both side lamps and the kettle must be placed on the floor for plugging. BUT WHAT REALLY SHOCKED ME IS THE AGENT/MANAGER’s ATTITUDE - I’m happy to send my communication with her when I inquired about the 13% charge per hour for late check outs. Check out is at 10am and that’s very unreasonable, especially on weekends. Checkout is usually 11am on weekends for most establishments.

The only upside is that the location of the guesthouse is in a private secure estate..

I couldn't stay at Bahlalerwa Royal Guesthouse due to no electricity. The Guesthouse does not have a backup system in place. I couldn't iron, warm up food and had to search for another place to stay again.
