Green Villa Weligama

I had an amazing time there. I ended up staying for two months. The location is great and the family is really sweet and accommodating. You can ask them anything, if you need help. Nothing to complain about at all. Also there´s a really sweet and delicious eatery just next door which makes it even more convenient, cause you don´t have to drive anywhere if you want to have great food.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Green Villa. It's a 3 bedroom upper floor apartment, one room is ensuite and the other 2 have a shared bathroom. The 3 rooms share a living space and kitchen. We were lucky to have good housemates and it felt a little bit like we were back at uni in a dorm room! What we liked: -Good location between Weligama and Midigama, you have the best of both worlds and are a little further away from the touristy main road. Plenty of decently priced restaurants in walking distance. -Space for parking a scooter, tuktuk or car -A well stocked kitchen with (almost) everything you need. We had to buy some extra bowls but otherwise the basics were there (pots, pans, cutlery, cooking utensils, glasses and cups, strainer, chopping board etc) -AC'd room is cozy with a wooden ceiling,we had a view of the tree outside and I appreciated the little desk and chair to get some work done -Washing machine is there to use for free, and there are plenty of laundry racks. -Owners are friendly

There wasn't anything I 'didnt like' but I have some suggestions for improvements: -A few more kitchen items like a blender, toaster or small oven would be amazing -Internet costs 1.66$ a day. This is written on their page as well I just didn't read it properly and wasn't expecting it as all the previous places we stayed had it included. -There could be a bit more storage space in the rooms. Maybe a cupboard or something so you don't have to live out of your suitcase the whole time you are there. -There are some squirrels that sometimes run over the roof at night, obviously not their fault, but it can get quite loud so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper

We had a wonderful stay at Green Villa. The place was very clean. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus. The shared areas were spacious and inviting. The kitchen was well equipped and very convenient to use. We also really enjoyed the balcony and garden. Having access to a washing machine was another big advantage. The whole place felt very cozy, and we truly felt at home during our stay. Overall, we felt very comfortable and really enjoyed our time there. We would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommended!

Everything was great

We’ve had a great stay in Green Villa, extending our booking twice for a total of 3 weeks (initially booked 3 nights). Nicely located in between Weligama, Midigama and Ahangama, making it a good base to explore the region. The room itself is spacious with a nice ensuite and cold aircon. The living room is large with a couple of tables to sit at, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. Plenty of parking out the back for a scooter, and a shop next door to buy water, snacks etc. We also received a gift from the owners on the Sinhala and Tamil New Year which was very kind. Overall we’ve loved our stay and would happily return.

Very nice place. The kitchen is well-equipped, big bedrooms and the big terrace is perfect for relaxing. The owner is extremely nice and helpful, always ready to assist with anything. Highly recommended!

The location was perfect for us, in a quiet neighborhood. We could walk to the beach in 15 minutes, it was a really nice walk to the most beautiful beaches of Weligama. I really liked that we were not in the crazy busy, touristy area of weligama. There's a beautiful Buddhist temple close and a lot of nature. The apartment is so clean and modern and beautiful, for us the perfect space, we stayed there for almost 2 months and my family came to visit us for 3 weeks. We could all stay there together since there are 3 bedrooms. There's a lot of space and the kitchen has all the facilities you need. The balcony is very big so nice if you want a space for workouts or doing yoga or just chilling outside. The family who owns the apartment is very nice and very helpful they helped us with everything we needed and always helped us. Definitely recommend this apartment for everyone visiting and staying in Weligama, long and short term.
