Kilimanjaro Trekcity Hostel

My 3 night stay at Trekcity was very pleasant. I had the dorm room to myself and it was a comfortable bed, the room had a fan and 4 plugs to charge your devices. The bathroom was in the room and the shower was warm! The hostel staff was kind and the food was good and well priced. The location us in the very quite area of Soweto and it takes a bit of time to get to town . The huge bar and many chill spots make it worth while to just spend time in the hostel. There was wifi, even though sometimes it was not stable. The host was super kind, and I was even picked up and dropped of at my bus stop. He also gave me minute-updates on when to see Kilimanjaro - that was a special treat! I can recommend your stay at Trekcity!

The hostel is very comfy and clean and the staff and owners are the nicest ever! Everyone will help you find what you're looking for and help you plan out your trip. The hostel also offers airport transfer. Special thanks to Ghynwine, Thadey and Queenie and all the rest of the beautiful people of this hostel!

It was an amazing establishment. The staff were top noch, very friendly and helpful. We made a mistake with our reservation, and they were very helpful and welcoming to find us the best solution.

Owners were very helpful and food at the hostel was amazing. Stuff even accompanied us downtown when we asked how we can get there. Our room was big with a big closet.

Charging was only possible at the bar, so bring your battery packs. WiFi was a bit unstable.

Lovely clean room with very comfortable mattress. We slept so well. The whole compound was comfortable with many seating areas and swing beds to hang out on. Quiet and very safe, friendly staff

Breakfast felt like they wanted to give us as little as possible. It did not feel welcoming. It's a little way out of town so you depend on tuktuk but it's so quiet and peaceful that it compensates for that. We must got a tuktuk drivers name and phoned up to arrange pick ups.
