Very peaceful getaway. Private and well kept chalet. Pool was a bonus!

12km (mostly gravel road) from town, so shopping needs a bit of planning ahead. (But that was not a problem for us as we knew in advance)

The Rose Cottage is located 12 km away from Heidelberg, reachable on a good gravelled road and placed in a rural area with phantastic views. This self-catering cottage is fully equipped, has comfy beds, en-suite bathrooms and a nice shady stoep. The owner lady is a lovely person, always reachable and giving you a lot of ideas how to spend your day. A perfect peaceful location to spend some relaxing days

Beautiful location. Lovely host. Well equipped and comfortable space. The hotwater bottle was a nice touch for cold evenings! Wake up early for the sunrise. It's spectacular. You'll not be disappointed.

No complaints! There is a wonderful wood-fired pool/hotub on the stoep. Bring extra (and dry) firewood to enjoy this amazing feature as it takes time to warm up but once it is, it's blissful.

Bernadine was fantastic, friendly, always in contact, super helpful…she really went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. I love the way the place was decorated, beautiful, but still very homely. Every little detail was taken care of.
