Casa Schiattarella Sorrento

Good location, walkable from the town centre and train station. Washing machine and steam iron provided. Michele provided clear instructions for check in and responded promptly when we had questions. There’s a famous restaurant just in front of the apartment but the queue is too long. I tried Cucina 246 Taverna Pub instead around the corner and never regretted it!

Not a big problem but the beds are soft for me. Also there were no table and chair at the balcony as advertised.

I enjoyed my stay at casa Schiattarella. It was very spacious and well equiped. The distance to the city center is less then 10 minutes and just flat, no climbing. Also very easy to find the apartment location. There are a lot of supermarkets nearby. Compared with all the other accomodations in Amalfi region, it was the best value for money.

The bed.

Let me start by saying that we had reservations at a wonderful restaurant nearby and didn’t want to be late. We got to the address at 6:15. The owner had told me to message him when we got there but we couldn’t find the place…a place so difficult to find should have had detailed directions. I messaged him to ask, then called, no answer (or busy). We went round and round trying to find it. We finally found it but he hadn’t answered me so we called again. He finally answered and explained how to get in. It was not at all the instructions he sent me by email. (Not in the right order). By the time we got in, there was about 1/2 hour left before we had to leave for the restaurant and we all had to wash up and get ready. We also had an argument between us because of the stress…a real mood killer. The place was not as advertised. Balcony and view not as advertised either. We were 5 people There were 4 chairs, 3 glasses and 1 cup. The night lights in the bedrooms weren’t working. The a/c wasn’t working in 1 room plus there was an oily film on it. The kitchen floor was dirty . The toilet wasn’t flushed and it smelled. The listing showed a sofa in the living room…there was no sofa. The balcony on the listing had a table and two chairs…there was none. The view on the listing wasn’t beautiful…it actually was very plain with the view of homes. We were very disappointed…we were on vacation and had to get stressed this way. We are not people to be so picky but this upset us all a lot. We’d like to be reimbursed.

Without a doubt the location, it’s well situated within a short walk to the centre. It felt quite spacious and it also felt quite secure.

The apartment is basic. It’s good value for money however you get what you pay for, for a base somewhere to lay your head at night. It’s perfect.

The apartment is located in the center of Sorrento a few steps from the main square and the historic center. It is very spacious and bright, also suitable for families, Sorrento is beautiful and I will definitely return to this accommodation

Good location, a short walk from the centre of town. Bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was fine. The apartment was very clean.
