"An enjoyable and relaxing stay at a 86 years old ryokan"

I was allocated one of the seven original rooms on the third floor, where the design and craftsmanship of master carpenters have been preserved for admiration and enjoyment. Both dinner and breakfast were delightful, and the staff were exceptionally warm and friendly.

Perhaps the sporadic and weak Wi-Fi was a drawback? However, one is meant to disconnect and relax while at an onsen ryokan, so it was manageable.

The staff were fabulous. Couldn’t do enough to make your stay wonderful and comfortable.

Nothing at all to dislike but you needed a car to get there and around.
