GBThe fact that Steve and Liz were so kind and let us use the BBQ and sit and relax in the garden. They even cooked our chips as we miss read the information on the site. Really high spec finish to everything. The view out of the bedroom was amazing. Bo the dog was fun and friendly. Top place to stay if you like relaxation and quiet.
Ideally the kitchenette would not be in the bedroom but it was so clever it worked. It was just a beautiful place. Recommend it to anyone. The cabin in the garden looked even better! Also it is 13km outside Wanaka which worked for us beautifully. But may not work for others.
USWe loved EVERYTHING about the property!! Steve was super welcoming and helpful about tips for our trip (hikes, food, sites, etc.). The view from our little cottage/cabin was absolutely stunning!! So beautiful. We loved feeling like we were staying with a local family. Their dog Beau greeted us every time we drove in too. Beau would stay for affection as long as we wanted and then get on to his own business as soon as we got onto ours. We also loved getting to feed Miley, the family goat. She was a total hoot! We would absolutely stay there again.
There wasn’t a lot of space for storage, but we found that easy to work around. The small space just added to the overall vibe so we wouldn’t change a thing!!
GBLiz welcomed us when we arrived and showed us the apartment. It was by far the cleanest place we have stayed. It was immaculate and beautifully furnished. It was quite late but Liz told us where to go for dinner nearby which was very good and a cafe also near to have breakfast. It is a lovely setting. It is perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. One toilet and one shower room.
It is a bit far from town. There is a lovely lounge but the TV and kettle, sink, plates etc…are in the master bedroom which meant we had to wait until our friends were up before we could make a cuppa. There was only one fan and it was very hot indeed.
NZWonderful location. Peaceful and beautiful....and such an interesting story...from bare land to a haven. I would love to return.
GBWhat a beautiful find! Pure bliss :) Steve was very friendly and welcoming. Exactly what I needed as a busy nurse in Auckland, close to Wanaka/Roys peak but far enough away to feel like tranquility.

GBWhat an amazing place, the location, the views and lets not forget the hosts, two great people with a beautiful story behind. The room was spotless, really quiet and comfortable. We also made a new friend, Beau the dog, who kept us company in the evenings. Thank you for having us!
GBAbsolutely loved this spot. Beautiful tiny house, access to BBQ, friendly hosts (and dog!) and just perfect. We hope to return.

AULocation, beautiful garden and stylish, comfortable accommodation. Steve, the host, was very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were very warm in the middle of summer and, as most of the windows weren’t screened, mosquitos were a problem at night. The kitchenette in the main bedroom would have been fine for 2 people, but it was a bit cosy for a family of 5!
NLSteve and Liz are amazing hosts and we loved the quiet tiny house which they all renovated by theirselves.
