KenPi Homestay

Check in: Their was no introduction during Check in the owner walked in and pointed upstairs. The welcome we received from the owner was very rushed and seemed very uninviting and not at all welcoming we felt as if we were a burden to be checking in at the time even when the in time was previously arranged. We were assigned a room that was so lovely, we began to unpack and put our bags away. While we put our bags and sat down onto the bed and look around, the owner told us he could not get the key out of door and told us the key was stuck and the lock broken and was going to fix it now, we told him him we were happy to wait down stairs or go for a walk to get cash out at the atm that was close by while we fixed the door as he would fix it today and get something to eat while he said he would fix the door. Instead we were moved to a less nicer room, which we were very disappointed as we were already unpacking and very happy about our room. When we returned 2 hours later the door was fixed and 2 hours later another couple had moved into the room we had paid and booked for, again very disappointed as that was the room we had began unpacking in. From 9pm till very late into the night the owners were in the homestay and were extremely loud EVERY NIGHT when I went down to see what was going on, I found the owners trying to get into another room and as they could not get the lock open. This resulted in so much banging echoing through the entire house keeping us awake. No consideration for their guests staying in their home stay when trying to sleep. As they stated in their description soundproofing, this was very clearly non existent. The following morning we discovered we had no hot water in the room we had been to.

Spacious, comfortable room with good facilities. Great shower and beautiful house. The owner gave me a larger room for the same price since it was available — excellent service!

Lovely homestay - the family are so kind and welcoming. The room is basic but clean and perfect for a couple of nights.

Nothing - however if you want to stay close to bars/restaurants this isn’t the place for you unless you have a motorbike

Staff very kind, helpful. Hotel very clean. Perfect location nice and quet, 10 minutes to city center.
