"Said, the owner, was wonderful and catered to our whims joyfully! He was always available when we asked."

9.0

It was set back in the old section and very quiet, away from the center of Tinghir but only 5 min away.

It was not the easiest to locate.

Great experience with the host, really felt like home, he was available all the time. We talked about the Berber and nomad culture. Hot shower and working heating/AC in the room, close to the canyon. When driving stick to the main road until you see the sign for Les Chandelles.

"Lovely stay"

9.0

Les Chandelles is located at the edge of a beautiful Palm Oasis. But what made our stay spectacular was the host, Said. He was happy to share stories with us and even invited us to dinner (which we paid for the following day), and I can confidently say it was the best cous cous I had in my whole stay in Morocco. The following day, we asked him some direction to visit the Berber neighborhood in Tinghir, and he called his brother who showed us around.

Said "invited" us for dinner, but the following day there was an awkward moment in which we went to leave him a tip and he said it was not enough to cover the dinner - totally fair (and it turned out to be very inexpensive), but perhaps it could have been explained a bit better to begin with.
