The place is ok to me but , the place needed to fix the Master Bed rooms , the AC in the second floor is terribke does not woek ams its noisy .the doors in the Master Room needed locks . Needed hangers in each rooms . The First floor is good .

“Luxury” is just the view, nothing else.

I stayed at Balay Pacifico because they market themselves as a luxury villa. The only luxurious thing was the view. The accommodation itself was awful. Everything felt old and poorly maintained, like no one has done proper upkeep in years. For the price they charge, it was a complete ripoff. 🤮🤮🤮 The worst part is the safety. There was no medical kit, no first aid kit, no rescue equipment, and no trained staff on site. My father had a medical emergency during our stay. The owner called, but no help arrived. I was the one who had to call the ambulance myself. Then they asked if we had a car so we could take him to the hospital. They didn’t offer their own vehicle, didn’t arrange transport, didn’t do anything. What if a guest doesn’t have a car? Are you just supposed to die waiting? My dad was dead on arrival at the hospital. 💔 Afterwards, no condolences came from the owner. A woman who said she was the owner’s mother-in-law went with my mother to the hospital and promised help with funeral expenses. That help never came. I’ve messaged and called the resort multiple times since. No replies. No accountability. If you are considering Balay Pacifico, think twice. If you have any health issues, get yourself checked before you go, because if something happens to you here, no help will come. They sell a view and call it luxury, but when it matters most, they provide nothing. Don’t risk your life for an instagram photo. 🤮

NIGHTMARE! It seems like the owner drains the pool following a busy holiday weekend which is understandable for cleaning. We checked in around 3.30 pm and after a swim and dinner the pool was suddenly being emptied for cleaning at 7 p.m. I was shocked at this (no prior knowledge). Kids were crying they had no pool to swim in that evening. I rented 3 Villas for 30 family members and rented three vans and a 10 hour round trip for my family and had no pool to swim in the evening we arrived. I woke up the next day only to find one man cleaning an empty pool at 6.30 am. The pool is supposed to be open 7 am - 10 pm. Noone seemed to know what's going on and I was very upset and the staff on site had no answers. The pool is supposed to be open. The staff called the owner and let her know i was extremely upset and she talked to me and my wife and said after a busy holiday weekend they need to drain the pool for cleaning. (Perhaps she should put that on her website), Then customers don't book a villa on Monday or Tuesday after a Holiday! When the pool closes at 10 pm she should have had her pool cleaning crew clean overnight and refill the pool by 7 am in the morning for her guests (Poor Operational Management). At 8 am the next day she said the pool would be refilled by 10 am which actually didn't get full to 5 pm long after 10 of my family members had to check out at 11 am although she said they could stay till 2 pm. No discount or anything else. Staff was great, meals tiny. Chef Luigi great. The restaurant ran out of coffee and coke and seemed upset when I told them I was sending my driver into town for Coke for the 11 kids in my party. I spent 140 K pesos on a nice place with no onsite management; the owner was MIA and has no clue on how to run a resort/ business. Since I run a major business in the US and have owned my own Restaurant and Bar, I would be open to purchasing the Bali Pacifico and run it properly from the owner when I retire in the next year.

This is our second time staying at Balay Pacifico, and the experience was just as amazing as the first. The staff’s attentiveness and thoughtfulness continue to impress. They even went out of their way to fulfill a small personal request—to greet our Nanay—which made the stay extra special. Consistently excellent service that makes this villa a top choice for us. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Honestly, there wasn’t much we didn’t like—perhaps just that it was a bit pricey, but the exceptional service and experience made it worth it.

Great resort in a wonderful location. The villas are spacious and clean.Calicoan is probably my favorite places in the Philippines. Awesome, gentle surfing, good little resorts with good food. And no foreign tourists to speak of.

As mentioned the villas could use a refresh and some upkeep but we’ve been traveling to the Philippines for decades and that seems to be the norm.

The electrical outlets were busted due to the failure of the electric cooperative to supply the correct voltage. Not only were the outlets busted but some of the appliances as well. The owner and staff were apologetic but also offered complementary items to make our stay comfortable. The villa assigned to us was very spacious and can even accommodate more than the stipulated maximum of 6.

As a wheelchair-bound senior citizen, the bathroom, i think, needs PWD handles and anti-slip mats. Pathways also are not wheelchair-friendly. The hotel could not be faulted for the fluctuating electricity, though.

I had a truly enjoyable stay at this resort on the Pacific coast of Samar. The entire property is very clean and well-organized, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. The cabin I stayed in was incredibly spacious, especially the master bedroom, which had a large, comfortable bed. The bathrooms were also roomy and very well-designed, making the whole place feel extra comfortable. There was a big TV, and the kitchen—with its own bar—was a great addition. What really made the stay special was the stunning view of the ocean. I spent a lot of time just sitting and taking in the beautiful coastal scenery. The swimming pool is also a highlight—deep, comfortable, and perfectly positioned to enjoy the view while swimming or lounging. The restaurant was another pleasant surprise. I especially enjoyed the Filipino dishes and seafood—everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. I also sampled a few cocktails, which were nicely prepared. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would gladly return in the future.
