It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Hillside! The place is super clean and comfortable. Very close to shops and restaurants. Actually I walked a couple of times to the shops. It’s quiet and peaceful. The staff were polite and helpful. Hotels are outdated! Some of us need accommodation that can offer peace, security, privacy and sense of homeliness. This place provides that!

The TV signal was a nightmare at room 4. There’s a full DStv package but unfortunately can’t watch all the channels because of the signal…I think the aircon is too close to the TV and its electro-magnetic outputs interfere with the TV. I could see that when I had the aircon, the TV would start to lose picture and signal and it’d work well when it’s off..unfortunately you can’t have aircon off for long in Umhlanga. Probably the establishment could relocate the aircon to the corner above the wardrobe.
