I liked the washing machine

The toilet was a bit old

Compact, but highly functional space that perfectly suited our needs for that one night. Very clean, thoughtfully setup place - met every imaginable need of ours. Loved the comforters and the tatami flooring. Great location from the Takayama station, close enough to food & drink - and great value for money.

3 floor walkup - don't remember seeing this in the listing. Checkin via the tablet on the 1st floor was a pain. Took way too long and asked for too much info - pictures of each of the guest's passports. Thankfully, I happened to have every pic on my phone - and 3 of the guests weren't even with me at the time.

The password given couldn't open our door

Good location, clean and bright.

There was no furniture except for a small coffee table. And with five futons, the entire floor space was taken up. So staying with a family of five is possible, but not ideal. Also the lighting was completely full bright or off, it would have been to nice have the ability to turn on some single lights. Some of the windows were fixed so it was difficult to see outside so felt a bit claustrophobic at times.
